Afternoon Tea overlooking Buckingham Palace There is no better place to enjoy traditional English Afternoon Tea than sitting back in our Palace Lounge overlooking the Royal Mews of Buckingham Palace. The pastry kitchen at The Rubens is led by our talented pastry chef Sarah Houghting, who produces the freshest pastries and cakes for our guests to enjoy. Sarah also recently competed in Bake Off: The Professionals on Channel 4.

With a reputation as one of the best in London, we pay respect to this classic British tradition whilst incorporating fresh twists along the way. We also cater to a range of dietary restrictions and offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menus. When booking online, please note dietary requirements in the ‘special requests section. Our delicious Afternoon Tea can now be ordered directly to your home. Please be advised we do require 24 hours notice to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, halal, and gluten-free Afternoon Tea requests. Unfortunately, we cannot cater to dietaries that require both gluten-free and dairy-free options.

Our range of Afternoon Teas can also be ordered or collected. Dress code: Smart casual. We respectfully ask guests to refrain from wearing sportswear, flip-flops, and non-tailored shorts. Guest not adhering to the dress code policy will not be permitted entry into our restaurants and bars.
