The Chesterfield Mayfair

The Chesterfield Mayfair

35 Charles Street, Mayfair, London, W1J 5EB

From the theatrical smoking pink lemonade to the surprising and delicious sweetshop-themed cakes – just imagine biting into a Coca-Cola slice – our whimsical afternoon tea brings a playful, bygone era to vivid life. Scrumptious chocolate scones and mouthwatering finger sandwiches such as finely-sliced smoked salmon on beetroot bread are accompanied by a gloriously long tea list (including our own loose leaf teas), or perhaps an indulgent glass of Champagne.

We are a dog-friendly hotel and we welcome you to join us in The Terrace Bar afterward for cocktails. Tea parties: The Chesterfield welcomes intimate parties or groups from 6 to 100 people where you and your guests will receive sublime service in magnificent surroundings. We welcome enquiries for any occasion including birthdays, anniversaries, hen parties, baby showers, and weddings and a member of the experienced events team will be in touch to discuss your event requirements.

Tour with the Beadles

The original shopping mall dating back to 1819, the Burlington Arcade was designed by Samuel Ware ‘for the sale of jewelry and fancy articles of fashionable demand, for the gratification of the public. Today, it houses purveyors of antique jewelry, watches, and cashmere, the quintessentially English fragrance house Penhaligon’s and Ladurée. Take a tour with one of the Beadles (the oldest and smallest police force in the world), who have guarded the arcade since its inception and still wear the Victorian-inspired uniform today.
