Take time out with friends to indulge in one of the finest British traditions and take Afternoon Tea at Merewood. Enjoy a relaxing time either in one of our cosy lounges, or weather permitting on our terrace overlooking Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells - it's a treat not to be missed! Kick-off your afternoon tea with savoury delights and freshly made sandwiches, followed by homemade cakes, sweet treats and freshly baked scones served with cream and preserve. All of which are served along-side a selection of tea blends and infusions, coffees or hot chocolate. Childrens Afternoon Tea

While Adults enjoy our delicious Afternoon Tea, those smaller members of the family can tuck into their very own! Launched this year, our Teddy Bear’s Picnic is the perfect treat for your little ones. Along with their very own Merewood Teddy Bear, this Afternoon Tea includes finger sandwiches, mini sausages, crisps, carrot cake, a selection of fruit and a slurp-worthy milkshake to wash it all down with. We have also partnered up with Rainbow Trust Charity, who work tirelessly supporting families who have a child with life-threatening or terminal illnesses. For every Children’s Afternoon Tea that is purchased, we will be donating £1 to this amazing cause.

Doggy Afternoon Tea

The 'ultimutt' for any dog lover or owner, our doggy Afternoon Tea is filled with treats for your four-legged friend! This unique take on an Afternoon Tea includes a bowl of either 'Bottom Sniffer' Beer or 'Posh Pooch' Wine along with biscuits, a pigs ear & every dogs favourite - a sausage! They are also treated to a tennis ball to take home with them, every dogs dream right?! We require a minimum of 24 hours notice.
